Wemade to launch \'Demon Corps Charge!\' globally in September on Wemix Play

Wemade will release a new version of its casual defence game \'Demon Corps Charge!\' that applies blockchain technology to global markets in September. The company said on Aug. 27 it will officially launch the mobile game, onboarded to its blockchain game platform Wemix Play, in about 170 countries worldwide excluding South Korea and some other countries. The game is developed by Lightcon and will be serviced through Wemix Play.

Wemix finalises compensation for Wemix Dollar security incident, 500,000 WEMIX buyback

Wemix has finalised a compensation plan for a July security incident involving Wemix Dollar, covering users who held the token, provided liquidity or incurred trading losses during the affected period. The Wemix team will issue eqWEMIX$ and distribute it without applications to eligible holders and loss-affected traders, with later 1:1 exchange to USDC.e when the module resumes. It will also buy back 500,000 WEMIX.

Wemix dollar authority takeover caused by proxy contract initialize flaw

Wemix Team said it identified a proxy-structure smart contract initialize-function flaw as the cause of a July 26 takeover of administrative rights over two Wemix dollar-related contracts. The attacker changed administrator addresses, obtained minting and swap permissions and minted 5,225,524.9997 WEMIX$ through repeated flash loans and swaps. Confirmed losses transferred externally were 723,244.4936 USDC.e and 34,752.3199 WEMIX. Services are to resume sequentially.
