Hana Bank joins hands with Upbit Global to co-research Travel Rule technology
Hana Bank will work with Upbit Global on technical cooperation to build a Travel Rule-based infrastructure for digital asset transfers. The bank said it signed an MOU at its headquarters in central Seoul to support safe transfers and establish a basis for regulatory compliance. The two sides plan to jointly respond to changes in laws and regulations, and to research and test transfer technology and infrastructure.

Lambda256 upgrades CLAIR FDS/AML solution for financial institutions
Lambda256 said on Tuesday it upgraded its on-chain FDS/AML solution, CLAIR, into an integrated workflow supporting financial institutions\' anti-money laundering operations. It said the platform integrates on-chain transaction monitoring, STR analysis, KYT, a travel rule solution and on-chain data with internal institution data. The company said the system uses ontology-based knowledge graph technology and W3C standards, and provides domestic unlicensed exchange label data and rule-setting tools.

Binance sues Wall Street Journal for defamation, focusing on protecting user trust
Binance has filed a defamation lawsuit in New York against Dow Jones, the publisher of the Wall Street Journal. It claims a February WSJ report contained at least 11 false statements. The WSJ reported Binance fired staff who raised concerns over more than $1 billion in crypto transactions linked to Iran-related sanctioned entities. The case draws attention because New York has strong media protections and anti-SLAPP rules, raising the burden for a defamation claim.
