NASA launches tender for private space stations to succeed ISS, secure low Earth orbit hub after 2030
NASA has begun formal bidding for a private space station to replace the International Space Station and maintain a low Earth orbit human presence after 2030. The agency released a request for proposals and set a Dec. 8 deadline, with plans to select at least two companies and announce results in April. Cardano considered SpaceX spaceflight project; Hoskinson says talks halted over pricing
Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson said he reviewed a large SpaceX-linked spaceflight project to promote Cardano and the privacy-focused sidechain Midnight, but it did not go ahead. He said talks were halted because pricing and market conditions did not match, not because a contract collapsed. The plan would have involved token holders and astronaut training, and considered cooperation with VAST Space.
