[Digital Today reporter Ho-jung Lee (이호정)] Global game publisher FunPlus said on March 10 it will take preorders for the mobile and PC cross-platform sci-fi strategy RPG 'Foundation: Galactic Frontier', co-developed with Paramount, ahead of its full service launch.
Preorders are under way on Google Play, Apple’s App Store and the Mac platform. The official launch date in South Korea is March 27.
'Foundation: Galactic Frontier' is a game based on Isaac Asimov’s classic sci-fi novel 'Foundation'. It covers the main story between seasons 2 and 3 of Apple TV+’s drama of the same name, the company said, offering a vast space saga.
To capture the atmosphere of the original work, 'Stellaris' series composer Andreas Waldetoft and a 'Star Atlas' battleship designer took part in development. Based on this, it also ranked No. 1 in the Apple App Store’s free games chart on launch day in major countries including the United States, Britain, Germany and Canada.
