UN builds integrated platform with Google to let AI find statistics
The United Nations has unveiled an integrated data platform built with Google that lets users search global statistics in natural language and enables AI to verify sources across UN agencies. The UN System Data Commons replaces the UNData portal and supports the Model Context Protocol for connecting to external data. The launch follows research showing low accuracy in AI answers on development indicators. Google.org provided $2 million and technical support.
