Twelvelabs converts UNICEF Korea video and photo archive into AI digital archive
Video-understanding AI company Twelvelabs said on Tuesday it converted the UNICEF Korea Committee’s 8 terabytes of unstructured video and photo data into an AI-based digital archive. The committee had managed scattered files across personal PCs and NAS storage, making searches labor-intensive and limiting use of some materials. Twelvelabs applied its video-native and multimodal AI to enable natural-language search that returns relevant clips and timestamps, and said search time fell about 95 percent.

TwelveLabs adopts Nvidia Blackwell Ultra B300 via AWS to speed video foundation model research
South Korean video AI startup TwelveLabs said on Tuesday it has introduced Nvidia\'s next-generation Blackwell Ultra B300 AI accelerator through Amazon Web Services. It has been operating the chip in a live research environment since early February, in what it described as a leading adoption case among domestic AI companies. TwelveLabs plans to combine the computing resources with AWS\' distributed training service, Amazon SageMaker HyperPod, to expand research into next-generation video foundation models.

Choi Jong-hyun Academy issued a report calling for a strategy that first produces immediate results with specialised AI and then connects to general-purpose AI capabilities. It said sovereign AI should not be framed as a domestic-versus-global binary, but as a choice of what the state must control and where to use global cooperation. The report highlighted manufacturing as a key arena and urged public infrastructure, data governance and safeguards on worker rights.
