Changpeng Zhao to abandon public wallet after spam token cleanup sparks $30 million meme coin spike

Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (창펑 자오) plans to shut down his public wallet after an attempt to clear spam tokens triggered market confusion. Token burns from his BNB Chain wallet were read as an on-chain signal, sending the price of a near-inactive token up more than 30,000 percent and lifting its market value from $40,000 to $30 million. Zhao said he was testing the Trust Wallet app. He will donate assets to Giggle Academy and stop using the address.
