Park In-gyu holds town hall meeting on key R&D policies
Park In-gyu (박인규), head of the Ministry of Science and ICT\'s Office of Science and Technology Innovation, attended a town hall meeting at the Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology on May 8 to share the government\'s science and technology policy direction. The event was the fourth and final stop in a series of regional meetings. About 100 participants, including academics, students, researchers and industry, discussed institutional improvements and policy needs.

SKT steps up push into B2B market with new enterprise taskforce
SK Telecom CEO Jeong Jae-heon (정재헌) marked six months in the role with a town hall meeting, stressing the importance of customer-focused change. The company said he encouraged employees tackling an enterprise-wide crisis response and shared results to date. SKT is launching a CEO-direct enterprise taskforce to strengthen wired and wireless B2B competitiveness and pursue opportunities in public and defence AI B2B. It also plans to expand its AI data centre business and overhaul its job-level system.

LG HelloVision expands new businesses amid broadcasting slump, rental growth in focus
LG HelloVision, South Korea’s top cable TV operator, is expanding its non-broadcasting businesses as broadcasting revenue continues to fall. Its rental-related product sales rose 52.2 percent over three years to 329.6 billion won in 2025 and accounted for 26 percent of total revenue last year, surpassing broadcasting. The company’s 2025 revenue rose 5.7 percent to 1.27 trillion won, while operating profit climbed 39 percent.
