iM Financial Group said on Sunday it held a “CEO iM PRO Donation Challenge” town hall meeting at iM Bank’s second headquarters to strengthen communication with holding company employees.
Since taking office, Chairman Hwang Byeong-woo (황병우) has worked to embed communication with employees as part of corporate culture rather than a one-off event. The group held town hall meetings on various themes last year, including an event combining a barista experience.
The town hall meeting combined free discussion on the group’s new way of working, “iM P.R.O (W.O.W ver.2),” with a participatory donation programme run by the iM Social Contribution Foundation. “iM P.R.O” includes 5 core keywords presented directly by Hwang: creativity, performance, responsibility, cooperation and autonomy.
Hwang and about 100 employees gathered to share views freely on the group’s management direction and organisational culture and to exchange feedback from the workplace.
The company also used programmes employees could enjoy, such as stacking local specialities and a relay of traditional games, to encourage natural communication and help staff experience a culture of cooperation and autonomy. It organised participatory games so employees could experience a virtuous cycle in which active participation leads to social contribution, and it plans to use the accumulated donations through the iM Social Contribution Foundation to support vulnerable groups ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday.
In a follow-up town hall meeting, Hwang shared his reflections on ending his concurrent role as bank chief, along with thoughts on personal achievement and company growth and insights from visiting CES 2026. The CEO and employees continued the exchange through an unfiltered Q&A session, and the company also held an awards ceremony for “iM PRO outstanding employees” selected through a pre-event survey.
“Communication between the CEO and employees without being bound by formalities is the foundation of organisational competitiveness,” Hwang said. “I will build a corporate culture in which enjoyable communication like today can lead to enjoyable work and an enjoyable workplace.”
