TikTok says South Korea is starting point for trends, plans $50 million investment and double rewards
TikTok plans to invest more than $50 million in South Korea’s content ecosystem this year, it said at a Seoul event on April 2. The company will expand creator support by doubling rewards for Korean-language content from April and launching additional reward and growth programmes from May. It also plans broader cooperation with professional partners across sports, news and entertainment, including FIFA, KBO, K League, YTN and SBS.

TikTok holds TikTok Shop US Connect to help Korean firms enter U.S. market
TikTok said it held its TikTok Shop US Connect event on Jan. 27 at the Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas to support Korean brands entering and expanding in the U.S. market. Under the theme of global seller growth and agency matching, the program shared education and strategies and offered one-on-one matching with U.S.-based TikTok Shop agencies. TikTok also introduced content planning, affiliate structures and its 2026 direction. TikTok Shop is not available in South Korea.

TikTok says to speed up global expansion for Korean brands, holds TikTok Shop CEO Circle 2026
TikTok held its TikTok Shop CEO Circle 2026 event in Seoul for major advertisers and brands, aiming to support Korean companies\' global expansion. TikTok Shop leaders from Britain, Japan and Southeast Asia described regional conditions and expansion plans, and presented phased growth roadmaps. TikTok also introduced support packages for brands entering new markets and data-driven expansion strategies. TikTok Shop said sales topped $500 million over four days during the 2025 Black Friday and Cyber Monday period.
