Webtoon Entertainment signs partnership with Disney, secures 2% equity investment
Webtoon Entertainment, the parent company of Naver Webtoon, said on Thursday it had finalised a strategic cooperation agreement with The Walt Disney Company. With the deal completed, Disney confirmed an about 2% investment in Webtoon Entertainment. The two companies will develop and operate a new digital comics platform offering past comics from Disney properties such as Marvel, Star Wars and 20th Century Studios, alongside selected original webtoon stories.
