Big tech CEOs say college not essential, offer in-house training as alternative

Elon Musk (일론 머스크), Tesla\'s CEO, received compensation in 2025 worth 2,522,203 times that of the automaker\'s average employee, according to an AFL-CIO report cited by Electrek. Tesla disclosed his pay at $158 billion, exceeding its 2025 revenue of $94 billion, even as revenue fell 3 percent and GAAP operating profit slid 61 percent. Tesla said most of the figure reflects stock awards that have not vested.

Tesla to cut output again at Shanghai factory in January 2027 amid weak China sales

Tesla plans to reduce vehicle production at its Shanghai plant for nearly a month in January 2027, extending output cuts that began this month into early next year, electric vehicle outlet CleanTechnica reported on Aug. 14. The reason is not yet clear, though the market is focusing on slower sales in China. Tesla’s China sales fell 9 percent in the first half from a year earlier.
