TeraView supplies inspection equipment to global semiconductor and smartphone companies

TeraView, a terahertz technology solutions company, said on Feb. 26 it secured additional orders for its EOTPR terahertz-wave inspection system from a global semiconductor foundry and a smartphone company. Both customers had already adopted EOTPR. The foundry, which supplies key parts to AI chipmakers, extended a maintenance contract ahead of adding automation functions in the second quarter. The system detects defects in HBM-related micro bumps, TSVs and flexible PCBs.

Yield takes center stage at Semicon Korea 2026

Yield emerged as the key theme at Semicon Korea 2026, held at Seoul\'s COEX from Feb. 11, as the event drew 550 companies and 75,000 pre-registered visitors. With HBM4 and 2-nanometre processes approaching mass production, interest has surged in metrology and inspection equipment to detect hidden defects.
