FuriosaAI teams up with Equinix to target European AI infrastructure market
FuriosaAI, an AI chip company, is moving to target the European sovereign AI infrastructure market. The company said on Tuesday it will work with digital infrastructure firm Equinix to deploy RNGD (Renegade) servers at Equinix’s LS2 data centre in Lisbon, Portugal. The servers will be run as an evaluation environment where European companies can verify performance and power efficiency using real AI models and workloads.

FuriosaAI to co-develop third-generation AI accelerator with Broadcom
FuriosaAI said on May 28 it has signed a strategic partnership with Broadcom to jointly develop a next-generation AI accelerator and inference platform. The companies plan to advance FuriosaAI’s Tensor Contraction Processor into a multi-die chiplet system and build an integrated infrastructure platform combining computing, networking and software. The collaboration is based on FuriosaAI’s second-generation RNGD accelerator, with third-generation samples planned for the first half of 2028.

FuriosaAI signs next-generation AI infrastructure deal with MangoBoost
FuriosaAI said on Jan. 15 it signed a memorandum of understanding with MangoBoost to jointly develop AI infrastructure technologies. The companies will build a cooperation framework in the data centre infrastructure sector and strengthen competitiveness through technical exchanges. FuriosaAI has a Tensor Contraction Processor architecture and software stack, and will start mass production of its second-generation RNGD chip with HBM at the end of this month. MangoBoost has DPU and AI performance optimisation technologies and began mass production of its BoostX DPU lineup earlier this month.
