U.S. Pentagon launches \'Tech Force\' to hire Silicon Valley talent directly
The U.S. Defense Department is launching a Tech Force program to strengthen its technology capabilities by hiring Silicon Valley talent directly, Business Insider reported on Jan. 23. The Pentagon aims to recruit engineers, data scientists and technology leaders to modernise its systems. Emil Michael, the under secretary of defense for research and engineering, said he wanted to make two years of tech service a new honour. Pay is set at $130,000 to $195,000.
