Tezos completes Tallinn upgrade, cuts block creation time to 6 seconds
Tezos has launched its 20th protocol upgrade, Tallinn, and reduced block creation time to 6 seconds, Cointelegraph reported on Jan. 25 local time. The upgrade supports faster transaction processing by shortening block time, cutting storage costs and minimising network delays. It also improves validation so all network validators, or bakers, can verify every block. Tezos said an address indexing mechanism removes duplicate address data and improves storage efficiency by 100 times.
