FuriosaAI to build 15 MW data centre in Sweden with RNGD
FuriosaAI said on Tuesday it will join U.S. AI infrastructure company I/ONX HPC and data centre developer and operator Velox in a project to build a 15 MW AI data centre in Stockholm, Sweden. The first 2 MW phase is set to start operating in early 2027, with another 8 MW added within the year and a longer-term expansion to 15 MW. FuriosaAI will supply 1,800 RNGD accelerators in phase one.

Xi proposes AI cooperation with developing countries, warns against excessive security focus
Chinese President Xi Jinping proposed expanding artificial intelligence cooperation with developing countries and urged that AI security not be overly broadly interpreted. Speaking at the World Artificial Intelligence Conference in Shanghai, Xi said countries should jointly advance AI and support developing nations. He said China would offer 5,000 participation opportunities in AI education and seminar programmes and would pursue cooperation with groups including ASEAN, the Arab League and the African Union.

OpenAI launches Symphony agent orchestration layer for Codex
OpenAI on April 28 unveiled Symphony, an open-source specification that connects Codex agents to development tasks registered in work management tools such as Jira and Linear. The company said Symphony lets agents pull work directly from issue trackers, run it in separate workspaces, monitor continuous integration and prepare changes for human review. OpenAI said some internal teams saw merged pull requests rise 500 percent in three weeks after adoption.
