Bitwise says bitcoin fair value could reach $224,000 if adopted as Treasury hedge

Bitwise said bitcoin\'s theoretical fair value could rise to about $224,000 if it is widely adopted as a hedge against sovereign default risk. Citing a valuation model that reflects government bond default risk, the asset manager said the long-term investment case for bitcoin could strengthen as global debt burdens and bond market stress increase. On June 1, Cryptopolitan selected ChangeNOW, Coinbase, Kraken, Gemini and Bitstamp as the most trustworthy exchanges this year, saying trust in 2026 comes from verifiable structure. It cited exchange collapses and hacks as drivers of the change and highlighted proof of reserves and asset storage methods.

SKT secures 100 percent stake in SKB, folds unit into wholly owned subsidiary

SK Telecom has folded SK Broadband into a wholly owned subsidiary after securing a 100 percent stake through a comprehensive share swap, a filing showed. SKT previously held 99.24 percent and acquired the remaining 3,039,090 common shares. Share buyback rights exercised by SKB shareholders amounted to 27,408 common shares worth 411,990,000 won, which were cancelled. SKT said it expects improved decision-making and a more efficient management system.
