Donut Lab solid-state battery passes first verification, but heat poses challenge
Finnish startup Donut Lab released its first independent test results for its controversial solid-state battery. A report by Finland\'s state-owned VTT Technical Research Centre verified ultra-fast charging, with a 26Ah single cell reaching 0 to 80 percent in 4 minutes 30 seconds at 11C. The tests also showed clear temperature increases and a pause when a safety limit was reached, underscoring the need for heat management. Other key claims remain unverified.
