Tesla is moving to build 100 gigawatts of solar manufacturing capacity in the United States, making a large investment push. A Reuters report cited by an electric-vehicle outlet said CEO Elon Musk is negotiating with Chinese companies to bring in about $2.9 billion of solar production equipment, with Suzhou Maxwell Technologies mentioned as a key candidate.
