Zscaler acquires browser security firm SquareX
Cloud security company Zscaler has acquired browser security specialist SquareX, SiliconANGLE reported on Feb. 6. Financial terms were not disclosed. SquareX has technology that blocks browser-based threats such as phishing and session hijacking by monitoring behavior inside the browser rather than relying on URL reputation or network inspection. It provides protection through a lightweight extension that works on Chrome and Edge and does not require a separate enterprise browser.
