The low Earth orbit (LEO) satellite industry is growing rapidly, intensifying global investment and technology competition, a Space IQ report cited by CNBC showed. The report said 2025 investment exceeded $45 billion, nearly doubling from 2024. LEO is emerging as core infrastructure for navigation, communications, defence and connectivity.
