Bitcoin DeFi Solv Protocol loses $2.7 million in hack

Bitcoin-based DeFi platform Solv Protocol suffered a hacking attack in which about $2.7 million worth of bitcoin-linked token SolvBTC was stolen, Cointelegraph reported on March 6. The project offered the hacker a 10 percent bounty and asked for the funds to be returned. It said fewer than 10 users were affected and pledged compensation for 38.05 SolvBTC. Security experts said the attack exploited a smart contract reentrancy flaw.

Stellar network to integrate with Axelar, linking payments and asset issuance ecosystem across multiple chains

Axelar will integrate its blockchain interoperability project with the layer-1 blockchain Stellar, it said on Sunday. Axelar said the integration will connect Stellar’s network, which is focused on payments and asset issuance, to Axelar’s interchain infrastructure. It said this will create a foundation to expand blockchain financial infrastructure designed for institutional use into a multichain environment. Axelar said the integration will provide connectivity so Stellar-based assets can be used across multiple blockchains.
