Masayoshi Son says human era is over, challenges AI bubble claims
SoftBank Group Chairman and CEO Masayoshi Son said the era in which humans sit atop living beings will end as artificial intelligence spreads, and that humans must evolve into “superhumans” to survive. Speaking at a SoftBank World 2026 special lecture, he set out a 2040 vision for AI, forecasting huge market size, profits and power demand from data centres. He rejected claims of an AI investment bubble as misguided.

Jim Cramer says AI rally is not a bubble like the dotcom era
Jim Cramer said U.S. markets amid an AI-driven rally differ from the period just before the dotcom bubble burst. He said some stocks may reflect excessive expectations but do not represent the whole market. Cramer cited interest rates, corporate results and valuations, saying a dotcom-style collapse would require repeated large rate hikes. He also pointed to S&P 500 forward P/E near 20 versus above 25 before 2000, and said major banks and some tech names trade at relatively low multiples.

Samsung Galaxy Fold8, Flip8 images leak ahead of Unpacked event
Official render images of Samsung Electronics\' next foldable phones and smartwatches have leaked. Engadget reported on July 8 that images of the Galaxy Z Flip8, Galaxy Z Fold8, Galaxy Watch9 and Galaxy Watch Ultra2 were published via Android Headlines, revealing much of the lineup ahead of an Unpacked event later this month. The Fold8 is said to be shorter and wider, while the Flip8 appears similar to its predecessor. Price increases for the watches are also being discussed.
