Lim Ji-hoon discloses 2018 performance pay confirmation; Kakao Ventures says no basis for payment
Former Kakao CEO Lim Ji-hoon, who has filed a lawsuit over performance pay against Kakao Ventures and Kakao founder Kim Beom-su, disclosed a 2018 performance pay confirmation and a 2026 letter rejecting payment. Lim said the arrangement was not a verbal promise and cited a contract, an amendment agreement and a company-seal-stamped confirmation. Kakao Ventures said it found no grounds to pay the claimed amount, without detailing specific provisions.

X to add long-press Like to send $1, excluding bitcoin and dogecoin
Elon Musk (일론 머스크), CEO of X, said the platform will add a feature allowing users to send $1 by long-pressing the Like button. The function is expected to run on X Money, X\'s payments service, but the launch date and eligible recipients were not disclosed. X Money is expanding in the United States but does not support bitcoin, dogecoin, stablecoins or on-chain payments.

XRP faces $2 billion selling pressure as upside bets also cool
XRP has recently faced nearly $2 billion in net selling pressure in spot and perpetual futures markets, with cumulative volume delta sliding from late September to mid-October. Spot and leveraged products both showed heavier selling. Binance and other centralised exchanges recorded deeper negative CVD readings. Derivatives positioning also shrank as open interest fell on Binance and Bybit. Liquidation data showed repeated long liquidations above $10 million, while short liquidation clusters above the current price were larger than long clusters below.
