Open-source AI Sentient secures strategic investment from Franklin Templeton
Open-source AI platform Sentient said on Feb. 3 that global asset manager Franklin Templeton has joined as a strategic investor. The company did not disclose the size of the investment. Sentient, a global AI research project, aims to build and verify trustworthy AI systems through open source and community participation. It plans to work with Franklin Templeton to advance high-stakes AI use cases in finance and implement open-source inference as an operational system.
