Musinsa Beauty says fandom IP collaborations lift transaction value up to 19-fold
Musinsa Beauty said on Tuesday it is driving growth in brand transaction value through collaborations that connect beauty brands with fandom-style intellectual property. It said it takes part directly from brand matching to content planning. A Sulwhasoo collaboration product sold out within 30 minutes, and Sulwhasoo’s May transaction value rose 261 percent from a year earlier. Other collaborations with Sellex, Laboh and influencer Tibetdongsaeng also posted gains, including a roughly 19-fold jump for The Lab by Blanc Doux.

Dairy industry enters second round of \'protein war\' with higher content, derivative products
South Korea\'s dairy industry is ramping up competition in ready-to-drink protein beverages by increasing protein content and rolling out derivative products. Namyang Dairy Products launched a renewed Take Fit Monster with 45 grams of protein, while Binggrae raised The Protein to as much as 40 grams. The domestic protein market has expanded rapidly since 2018, with beverages accounting for about 60 percent. Companies are also moving into amino acid-based energy gels as competition intensifies.

Maeil Dairy\'s Sellex launches on JD Health, steps up China sales
Maeil Dairy said on Feb. 12 that its adult nutrition brand Sellex has officially opened an exclusive brand store on China\'s online healthcare platform JD Health. It plans to speed up Sellex\'s overseas expansion, including sales through JD Health\'s global direct-purchase offering. The company recently decided to merge its subsidiary Maeil Health Nutrition into the parent to strengthen competitiveness. Sellex will sell four products on the platform and plans to add sports nutrition items in the second half.
