Microsoft releases latest cases of Frontier Transformation firms integrating AI into core work
Microsoft on Thursday released its latest examples of so-called Frontier Transformation companies that embed AI into core business processes to create value. The cases span consulting, healthcare, universities, manufacturing, banking, retail and autos. Microsoft cited deployments of Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Foundry, Microsoft Fabric and Azure-based agents, reporting gains such as higher productivity, reduced lead times and lower manual workloads, along with faster security investigations and broader risk monitoring.

Ent raises $100 million seed round to develop intent-based AI agent security platform
Cybersecurity startup Ent has raised $100 million in seed funding. The company has developed an “intent-aware workspace security” platform that analyzes the behavior of employees, AI agents and applications. Hosted in a customer-managed cloud, a lightweight endpoint agent observes activity across applications, browsers, AI workflows, data movement and local software execution. Ent says it can intervene before incidents by analyzing behavioral context.

Legacy security models cannot stop threats from AI spread; ambient and autonomous agents are the answer
As AI spreads inside companies, security risks are growing, and Microsoft is highlighting “ambient” and “autonomous” as key concepts. Mick Doone (믹 듄), a senior security adviser manager for Asia Pacific, said security must be built into systems from the design stage and operate continuously across identity, endpoints, cloud, data and AI agents. He said prompt and response tampering and agent-connected plugins can become attack paths.
