Veeam expands beyond backup into data, AI trust platform
Veeam, a data backup company, is expanding its business beyond backup and cyber resilience into a \"data and AI trust\" platform, Techzine reported, citing CEO Anand Eswaran (아난드 에스와란). Veeam bought Securiti AI late last year for $1.725 billion and launched its DataAI Command Platform. Eswaran said agentic AI requires new products and structures. He said firms run 82 autonomous AI agents per employee, with 97% holding excessive access.

Veeam launches DataAI Command Platform for trusted AI agent infrastructure
Data protection company Veeam on May 12 unveiled its DataAI Command Platform at its annual VeeamON 2026 event. CEO Anand Eswaran (아난드 에스와란) said there is infrastructure to deploy AI but none to verify and control it, and that the platform builds a layer combining resilience, security, governance, compliance and privacy. The company said large enterprises have 82 times more AI agents than employees, with 97 percent holding excessive privileges.

Veeam launches Agent Commander for AI risk response and recovery from agent errors
Veeam Software launched Agent Commander to help companies manage AI risks and reverse mistakes by AI agents, it said on Feb. 24 local time. The company said the product was developed using technology from Securiti, a security firm Veeam acquired last year for $1.7 billion. Agent Commander analyses data flows to detect AI risk factors and applies real-time security policies to minimise data exposure.
