Data protection solutions company Veeam introduced the DataAI Command Platform targeting agentic AI environments at its annual VeeamON 2026 event held on May 12 local time.
Anand Eswaran (아난드 에스와란), Veeam CEO, said, "There is infrastructure to deploy AI, but there is no infrastructure to verify and control it." He said, "With the DataAI Command Platform, we are building a layer that combines resilience, security, governance, compliance and privacy into one."
According to the company, the number of AI agents at large enterprises is 82 times the number of employees, and 97 percent of those agents hold more privileges than necessary. The company said this is cutting the time available to detect threats and respond to them.
Veeam unveiled the DataAI Command Platform based on Securiti AI technology, which it completed acquiring earlier this year.
The DataAI Command Graph that makes up the platform identifies data assets across more than 300 cloud, SaaS and on-premises environment connectors. It shows which files contain sensitive data, who can access them and which changes created risk. The company emphasised that a differentiating point is that it covers live systems and backup environments at the same time.
DataAI Compliance integrates with more than 100 regulatory frameworks, including the EU AI Act, DORA and GDPR. DataAI Precision Resilience supports recovering only the problematic parts without rolling back an entire system spanning 20 years.
