Snowflake supplies AI agent platform to biopharma company Sanofi
Snowflake said on Monday that global pharmaceutical company Sanofi has launched an AI agent, Concierge for Field, based on Snowflake Cortex AI. The agent supports Sanofi sales staff in meetings with medical professionals, providing meeting plans, priority recommendations based on doctors’ specialties and prescribing histories, and past transaction records by email within seconds. Sanofi has also introduced Snowflake-based AI agents across R&D, procurement, IT, HR and field sales.

National Growth Fund bets 800 billion won on FuriosaAI, backs SK Bioscience too
South Korea\'s National Growth Fund will support domestic AI chipmaker FuriosaAI to expand mass production and develop next-generation chips, while also providing funding to Smilegate for an AI data centre project and to SK Bioscience for vaccine development and plant expansion. The Financial Services Commission approved five projects worth 4.14 trillion won, raising the fund\'s cumulative approvals to 12.5 trillion won across 16 projects. Support also includes loans for L&F Plus and funding for switchboard maker Geunu.

Anthropic expands vertical AI strategy with acquisition of AI biotech startup Coefficient Bio
Anthropic has acquired AI biotech startup Coefficient Bio in a deal worth about $400 million, The Information reported, citing sources. Coefficient Bio’s team will join Anthropic’s healthcare and life sciences group, which develops tools for biotech workflows from drug discovery to clinical commercialisation. Founded last fall, the startup built a platform for AI-driven drug R&D planning, clinical regulatory strategy management and candidate discovery.
