Cloud data platform company Snowflake said on Monday that global pharmaceutical company Sanofi has launched an artificial intelligence (AI) agent, Concierge for Field, based on Snowflake Cortex AI.

Concierge for Field is an AI agent that supports Sanofi sales staff in meetings with medical professionals. It provides pre-meeting plans, priority recommendations based on doctors' specialties and prescribing histories, and past transaction records by email within seconds.

Sanofi has also introduced Snowflake-based AI agents across R&D, procurement, IT, HR and field sales. The company said it processes data integration and AI execution together on Snowflake's single platform, reducing its reliance on existing enterprise software.

Emmanuel Frenehard (엠마누엘 프렌하드), Sanofi's chief digital officer, said, "We are directly building AI based on data to transform how we operate the company from R&D to manufacturing and commercial operations," adding, "Sanofi is moving toward becoming the first biopharma company to use AI at scale."

Sridhar Ramaswamy (슈리다 라마스워미), Snowflake's chief executive officer, said, "Sanofi is an example that shows what is possible when you directly build AI based on trusted enterprise data."
