Korea CAIO Forum launches, aims to share AX experiences
The Korea AI Association and Samil PwC have launched the Korea CAIO Forum. The organisers held an inauguration ceremony and commemorative seminar on May 7 and shared operating plans and a vision for the forum. The forum aims to establish private-sector-led AI governance and build a national industry-academia-research consultative body. Presentations covered corporate operating model redesign, compliance guidance for the AI Basic Act, and support systems and projects for small firms.

Woori Bank joins Kim & Chang and Samil PwC to support corporate succession
Woori Bank said on April 13 it signed a memorandum of understanding with Kim & Chang and Samil PwC at its headquarters in central Seoul to cooperate on corporate succession business. The agreement aims to build an integrated support system covering finance, legal and tax services. The three organisations plan to provide advice, jointly run education and seminars, and share research and information, including support for market-based succession such as third-party sales.

Motif Technologies to hire developers for proprietary AI foundation model project
Motif Technologies, which is participating in the development of a proprietary AI foundation model, said on Sunday it will hold an open recruitment drive to advance development and expand its business. The hiring covers AI research engineers, applied AI engineers, and business development and operations staff. The company said it will provide benefits including flexible working hours, equipment support funds, health checkups, and 2 million won a year in welfare points.
