Motif Technologies, which is participating in the development of a proprietary AI foundation model, said on Sunday it is conducting an open recruitment drive to advance development and expand its business.

The recruitment targets AI research engineers, applied AI engineers, and business development and operations staff. The company also offers benefits including flexible working hours, equipment support funds, comprehensive health checkups for employees and one immediate family member, and 2 million won a year in welfare points.

Motif Technologies was selected in February as an elite team for the proprietary foundation model project led by the Ministry of Science and ICT, after being recognised for its pure proprietary design capabilities that do not borrow the structure of foreign open-source models. It is developing a 300 billion-parameter reasoning large language model with 17 institutions, including Moreh, Seoul National University, Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, Samil PwC, National Heritage Promotion Agency and HDC Labs. It plans to upgrade the model in stages to a 310 billion-parameter vision language model and a 320 billion-parameter vision-language-action model.

Jung-hwan Lim (임정환), chief executive of Motif Technologies, said, "Motif has so far focused on design rather than assembly, and the models we developed and our approach are getting meaningful responses in the global engineer community."
