SSG.com sets out to become leading online grocery platform with delivery, quality, membership push
SSG.com said on Tuesday it aims to become South Korea\'s leading online grocery mall by strengthening delivery, quality and membership benefits. It plans to optimise three delivery options, expand weekly delivery volumes handled by its PP centres, and increase quick-commerce hubs to 90 within the second quarter. The company will overhaul its guaranteed delivery service using CJ Logistics infrastructure and apply 7 percent fixed rewards. It will also launch a Tving-linked membership plan.

SSG.com says Ssg7 Club lifts members\' grocery sales by 70 percent
SSG.com said analysis of grocery shopping by members of its new Ssg7 Club showed higher spending and purchasing frequency than non-members. The company said members’ average order value was 70 percent higher and average order frequency was 45 percent higher from Jan. 8 to 25. More than 80 percent of sign-ups bought grocery items at least once. Food made up 70 percent of orders, while non-food accounted for 30 percent.

SSG.com runs SSG7 Club members-only discount deals permanently
SSG.com said on Tuesday it will permanently operate a members-only discount program called “SSG7 Club Special Price” for users of its grocery-focused SSG Seven Club membership. The program will offer weekly special-price items, mainly in fresh and processed foods and household goods, and will credit 7 percent of the payment amount as SSG Money. The membership costs 2,900 won per month and offers fixed 7 percent rewards on SSG Delivery purchases. First-time SSG Delivery orders rose about 60 percent from a year earlier during Jan. 8 to 11.
