SSG.com, Shinsegae Group's integrated e-commerce platform, said on Tuesday it will permanently operate “SSG7 Club Special Price”, a members-only discount program for users of its grocery-focused membership, SSG Seven Club.
Each week, it will offer members-only special-price items, mainly in fresh and processed foods and household goods. It will also credit 7 percent of the payment amount as SSG Money.
SSG Seven Club is a membership with a monthly subscription fee of 2,900 won. It offers a fixed 7 percent rewards credit on purchases of SSG Delivery (daytime, dawn and Traders) items.
As of Jan. 8 to 11, the number of first-order SSG Delivery members rose about 60 percent from the same period a year earlier.
An SSG.com official said, “We expect members-only special prices and rewards benefits will help reduce the burden on shopping baskets in a high-inflation environment.”
