KakaoGames launches SM Entertainment IP-based \'SMiniz\' globally
KakaoGames said on Tuesday it has officially launched \'SMiniz\', a new title based on SM Entertainment intellectual property, in global markets. The mobile casual game features small characters resembling SM artists and lets players solve match-3 puzzles with their favourite character. The full release supports five languages: Korean, English, Japanese, and Chinese in traditional and simplified versions. KakaoGames will run in-game and offline-linked events after launch.

The mobile casual game features small characters modeled after SM artists and lets users solve match-3 puzzles with a favorite character. The global version supports Korean, English, Japanese and traditional and simplified Chinese. Pre-registration runs through Feb. 23.

Kakao Games steps up big game launches from third quarter to spur second-half rebound
Kakao Games plans to make this year a turning point for a performance rebound by rolling out major new titles in the second half, with a strategy centred on global markets and PC and console platforms. It reported 2025 revenue of 465.0 billion won and an operating loss of 39.6 billion won, with fourth-quarter revenue down 25.8 percent and an operating loss of 13.1 billion won. The company aims to control labour and marketing costs while accelerating profitability from the third quarter.
