Jensen Huang wraps up South Korea visit, stresses physical AI cooperation and startup support
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang attended a \"Korea AI Ecosystem Reception\" on June 8 to wrap up a five-day visit, saying South Korea is unmatched in heavy industry, manufacturing, electronics and AI software and that hundreds of billions of dollars in revenue would flow into the country over the next five years. He urged venture capitalists and the government to support AI startups and highlighted physical AI cooperation. Deputy Prime Minister Bae Kyung-hoon cited plans on next-generation accelerators, GTC Korea and GPU price talks.

SBVA invests 50 billion won in Yann LeCun-founded AMI seed round
SBVA said on Tuesday it invested about 50 billion won in the seed round of AMI (Advanced Machine Intelligence), a global frontier lab founded by AI scholar Yann LeCun. The round also included global institutional investors Greycroft Partners, Cathay Innovation and Hiro Capital, as well as Nvidia. SBVA said the investment was made through its existing funds and a newly formed Alpha AI Architecture Fund. AMI aims to develop a “world model” based on self-supervised learning and JEPA.

SBVA invests 126.7 billion won in 2025, to focus on AI and deep tech this year
SBVA said on Jan. 22 it invested a total of 126.7 billion won in 17 companies in 2025. It said 6 of the companies were overseas firms, accounting for about 35 percent of its investment targets, reflecting a larger focus on global markets. SBVA said investment covered areas including AI, robotics, content, commerce and healthcare, and it formed a 150 billion won fund in December, bringing assets under management to 2.9 trillion won.
