Evernode says legacy banking networks are outdated - why

Evernode said key infrastructure at the heart of the global financial system remains stuck on technology built decades ago, and predicted future financial services may be built directly on blockchain networks rather than through upgrades to existing banking rails. It said many systems linking major banks were designed 30 to 60 years ago, making cross-border transfers slow and inefficient. Evernode also said XRP is expanding beyond payments into lending, tokenised vaults and DeFi.

Japan seen as possible launch market for spot XRP ETF

A spot XRP exchange-traded fund could draw large inflows from pension funds and financial institutions and help expand the XRP market if it is approved in Japan, an analysis said. Observers cited Japan’s regulatory overhaul and distribution networks as factors that could support ETF demand and spur broader institutional interest in Asia. Japan’s cabinet has approved a bill to reclassify 105 cryptocurrencies as financial products, with implementation expected in fiscal 2027.

Analyst says XRP accumulation window is closing and investors could regret it later

An analysis said institutional money and on-chain indicators for XRP are improving even as the token stays weak. Jake Claver, chairman of Digital Ascension Group, said investors could later look back and think they should have bought at current levels. He cited growth in tokenised real-world assets on the XRP Ledger, inflows to spot XRP ETFs, expanding custody and institutional infrastructure, and record concentration among large wallets.
