AMD launches next-generation desktop processor priced at $499
AMD said on Jan. 23 it will begin selling its next-generation Ryzen 7 9850X3D desktop processor from Jan. 29 at a launch price of $499. The company said the chip succeeds the Ryzen 9800X3D and raises boost clock speeds by 400 MHz to improve gaming performance. AMD said it delivers up to 27 percent higher average gaming performance than Intel\'s Core Ultra 9 285K and uses second-generation 3D V-Cache.
