Extreme Networks considers acquiring Ruckus Networks for over $1 billion
Extreme Networks is considering acquiring Ruckus Networks, a network equipment subsidiary of CommScope, Bloomberg News reported on Jan. 13, citing multiple sources. Bloomberg said the transaction could be valued at more than $1 billion. Extreme, whose key customers include the federal government and financial services providers, could significantly strengthen its enterprise network portfolio if it buys Ruckus.
