MSIT holds \'AI-Inglass Forum\' to discuss industry-academia-research cooperation
South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT held the \'AI-Inglass Forum\' in Seoul on Sept. 15 to discuss cooperation among industry, academia and research institutions in preparation for growth in the AI glasses market. About 150 participants attended, including companies, universities and research bodies. The event included keynote speeches, an ETRI strategy presentation and a panel on building an AI glasses ecosystem. It was held under an ETRI-led project running from 2026 to 2030 with 45 billion won in funding.

Top researchers to be named national science and technology leaders with up to 500 million won support
South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT will select 20 world-class researchers as \"leader-level national science and technology figures\" and provide 100 million won a year for up to five years. Eligible candidates are South Korean citizens aged 55 or younger working in industry, academia or research institutes in South Korea. Applications can be submitted through institutional nominations or recommendations from international scholars or a data-based committee. The application period runs from Sept. 21 to Oct. 12.

Jin Ok-dong says Shinhan SHeroes are talent leading Shinhan
Shinhan Financial Group said it held the 2026 Shinhan SHeroes Conference on the afternoon of March 6 at the Royal Hotel in Seoul’s Jung-gu district. Chairman Jin Ok-dong (진옥동) attended with the group’s female executives and department heads to celebrate about 60 members selected for the ninth cohort. Members who completed last year’s programme also attended, shared training outcomes and presented measures to strengthen female leadership.
