Florida state legislature passes stablecoin regulation bill
Florida\'s legislature passed a bill that would establish a state-level regulatory framework for stablecoins, The Block reported on Thursday. The measure, Senate Bill 314, passed the Senate 37-0 and has also cleared the House, according to Samuel Armes of the Florida Blockchain Business Association. The bill focuses on regulating stablecoin issuers, includes consumer protection and financial stability standards, and would add stablecoins to Florida\'s anti-money laundering law.
