Conde Nast CEO says Google search will not play meaningful role in traffic within years
Media group Conde Nast, which publishes Vogue and The New Yorker, is preparing a strategy that does not treat Google search as a core traffic channel. CEO Roger Lynch said Google search will not be able to play a meaningful role in its traffic within a few years. He said AI summaries in search results were another blow to search traffic and criticised a structure he described as harmful. Conde Nast has content licensing deals with OpenAI and Amazon but has not reached an agreement with Google.
