Meritz Securities to work with Ripple on digital asset custody and tokenisation infrastructure review
Meritz Securities said on Tuesday it has signed a strategic partnership with global blockchain company Ripple to support the introduction of digital assets in the domestic market. The companies will review ways to apply Ripple’s tokenisation infrastructure and institutional digital asset custody solution, Ripple Custody, to South Korea’s capital market. Meritz Securities said it plans to expand areas of cooperation in stages in line with future changes to domestic digital asset regulations.

Ripple unlocks 1 billion XRP from escrow; focus on how much will enter the market
Ripple unlocked 1 billion XRP from escrow at the start of October. Blockchain outlet U.Today reported the release was carried out in four transactions, with markets watching how much Ripple will place back into escrow within 24 hours. The unlocked amounts were split into 400 million, 200 million, 300 million and 100 million XRP. Ripple has typically re-escrowed a large portion of monthly releases, using the remainder for operations and ecosystem support.

Societe Generale expands euro stablecoin to XRP Ledger, strengthens multichain strategy
Societe Generale\'s digital asset arm SG-FORGE has deployed its euro-based stablecoin, EUR CoinVertible, on the XRP Ledger, Cointelegraph reported. EUR CoinVertible had previously been launched on Ethereum and Solana. Cointelegraph said support from Ripple custody infrastructure increases the likelihood of future integration with Ripple products. SG-FORGE said the move should make it easier for institutions to access euro-based tokens.
