Tesla Roadster shows off performance in demo, can it win electric supercar buyers

Tesla showcased next-generation Roadster performance in a demonstration, including driving upside down in mid-air and jumping over multiple vehicles, and accelerating to 60 mph in under 1 second. The event was held near Waco, Texas, and Elon Musk said mass production would begin in 2028 after an earlier date was delayed by weather. Tesla said the car reached 60 mph in 0.81 seconds and outlined compressed-air propulsion systems.
