Reform UK leader Farage discloses $2.5 million bitcoin purchase

Nigel Farage, a British lawmaker and leader of Reform UK, disclosed a $2.5 million bitcoin purchase. The transaction was carried out through London-listed bitcoin treasury firm Stack BTC Plc and was described as the first case of a sitting British member of parliament publicly buying bitcoin. Stack BTC said its holdings rose to 68.19 BTC from 21 BTC. The firm says it converts surplus capital into bitcoin after acquiring profitable UK businesses.

Nigel Farage (나이절 패라지), leader of Britain\'s Reform UK, has made a strategic investment in bitcoin firm Stack BTC, The Block reported on March 9. Stack BTC completed a share funding round worth 260,000 pounds ($347,000), with Farage and Blockchain.com participating as investors. Farage secured a 6.3 percent stake through his investment company. Stack BTC said it will use the funds to accumulate bitcoin and buy profitable businesses.
