Rambus unveils HBM4E controller IP to ease AI memory bottlenecks
Rambus has rolled out a new solution to address AI memory bottlenecks, SiliconANGLE reported on Tuesday. The company announced an HBM4E memory controller IP designed to meet memory bandwidth demands for next-generation AI accelerators, GPUs and high-performance computing systems. The controller supports 16 Gb/s per pin and provides up to 4.1 TB/s per HBM4E device. In an eight-stack AI accelerator setup, total bandwidth can exceed 32 TB/s, it said.
