Korea science ministry pitches next-generation nuclear vision at IAEA, backs SMRs and offshore nuclear power
South Korea\'s Ministry of Science and ICT introduced plans at the International Atomic Energy Agency\'s general conference to develop next-generation nuclear technologies, including small modular reactors and offshore nuclear power, and to expand international cooperation. First Vice Minister Ku Hyeok-chae delivered a keynote address and held bilateral meetings with senior officials from countries including Singapore and Canada. He reaffirmed commitments to the global non-proliferation regime and pledged cooperation on international issues.
