Shinhan Bank introduces AI agent to check real estate appraisal reports

Shinhan Bank has introduced an AI-based agent to help check real estate appraisal reports used in mortgage-backed loan reviews. The tool examines key contents and consistency across report items, while staff remain responsible for rechecking results and making final decisions. The bank said the system combines large language models, robotic process automation and optical character recognition. Internal measurements showed check time per report fell about 70 percent and daily throughput tripled.

MegazoneCloud, Korean Re team up to expand AX in reinsurance business

MegazoneCloud said on July 23 it signed a strategic memorandum of understanding with Korean Reinsurance to accelerate AX, or AI transformation, in the reinsurance business. The companies agreed to pursue a long-term technology partnership rather than a one-off system build. They plan to cooperate on AI- and data-driven underwriting and contract review, big data-based risk prediction, companywide automation in a cloud-native environment, and new financial business models linked to global infrastructure.

BigValue CEO Gooreum releases \'National Intelligence\' on public sector AX

Data Tech company BigValue said its CEO Gooreum co-wrote a book, \'National Intelligence\', with Hong Seung-gil, a former senior official at the Animal and Plant Quarantine Agency. The company said the book focuses on a high-pathogenic avian influenza risk prediction model built jointly by BigValue and the agency. It sets out conditions for Korea’s administration to advance from AI adoption to AX, and presents operating cases that change decision structures.
